Doing a pedicure at home is easier than you think. With the right accessories, pedicures can even be done in your own bathroom.
1. Cleaning & Peeling
Every pedicure begins with a warm foot bath. Not only ist the foot bath very relaxing, but it also optimally prepares the skin and nails for the following treatment. Hard skin and rigid nails are „softened“. A peeling is as well a good option as it removes excess skin scales and nourishes the skin. Deposits under the nails can then be removed with a manicure instrument.
2. Removing Calluses
The canal four-fold callus file is characterized by its four different grinding surfaces. The narrow sanding surface allows you to reach hard-to-reach areas and the white polishing circle ensures ultra-smooth skin. It is important not to remove too much callus – everything that is rough can be removed.
3. Nourishing Cuticles
To gently push pack the cuticles, it is ideal to treat them with the cuticle oil care stick first. It moisturises chapped skin with jojoba oil and vitamins and makes your hand look well-groomed. The cuticles can then gently be pushed back with a wooden cuticle stick or be filed down with the glass manicure stick. In addition to this treatment the cuticle scissors can be useful, if cuticles are still sticking out.
4. Shortening Nails
A nail clipper or nail scissors are both suitable for shortening nails. For thicker nails we recommend nail nippers. The corners and edges can gently be removed with a file. It is important to cut the nails straight and not too short so that they cannot become ingrown. Moreover, the nail shouldn‘t be longer than the toe so that the nails do not interfere with the shoe.
5. Final Touch
For the perfect finish, apply the canal cuticle oil stick with a wonderful lavender fragrance followed by a nourishing foot cream.
Soft and pain-free feet will thank you for the this care.
